Service & Philanthropy
The value our organization places on service and philanthropy is evident in the fact that it is referenced in our Mission, Credo and Ritual. They are integral aspects of what it means to be a true ZBT and to represent the values of the Fraternity both within our own organization and in our communities. On average, a ZBT chapter raises about $10,000 per year for philanthropic causes.
ZBT has four official philanthropies and one service partner. Our chapters are highly encouraged to raise funds primarily for these organizations and engage in community service activities on their behalf.

OUR PARTNERS
The Andrew McDonough B+ (“Be Positive”) Foundation provides financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer nationwide, and it funds critical, cutting-edge childhood cancer research. College students and young philanthropists are the main drivers of the work of The B+ Foundation, through dance marathons, campus activities and fraternity chapter events. Learn more.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S and Canada through unrestricted funds, helping make sure every child receives the best possible care. Chapters support CMNH through proprietary events like Get on the Ball as well as campus Dance Marathons and activities. CMNH has been an official partner since 2002. Learn more.
Inspired by a legacy of progressive women’s leadership and guided by Jewish values, JWI’s mission is to ensure that all women and girls thrive. JWI is a strong advocate for and partner in ZBT’s priority to educate our brothers on the common pitfalls of student life, safety and making healthy decisions. Learn more.
The Zeta Beta Tau Foundation is a nonprofit corporation exclusively committed to educational and charitable purposes that assist ZBT brothers, such as funding scholarships and academic and leadership programs. These programs enhance the overall value of membership in Zeta Beta Tau by complementing the collegiate educational experience. Learn more.
Gift of Life Marrow Registry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and facilitating bone marrow and blood stem cell transplants for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood-related diseases. Gift of Life and ZBT leaders work to facilitate opportunities for brothers to staff donor recruitment drives, 5Ks and fundraising drives, organize community events and more.
