ZBT names Risa A. Morris new Director of Communications
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity has appointed Risa A. Morris as the new Director of Communications at ZBT International Headquarters. She assumes her duties May 7.
“I’m ecstatic to welcome Risa to the Fraternity’s professional staff. Her prior professional and volunteer experiences coupled with her commitment to the fraternal industry is inspiring. That, along with her many connections to ZBT over the course of her lifetime, made her an outstanding candidate,” said Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity Executive Director Laurence A. Bolotin, Alpha Zeta (University of Florida) 2001.
Morris is a seasoned investigative reporter. Most recently, she spent two years at NBC2 in Naples, Florida. Before that, she worked at CBS19 in Tyler, Texas. Check out some of her work at www.risamorris.net.
Morris has a degree in Journalism from University of Texas at Austin where she is an alumna of Alpha Epsilon Phi. Morris is involved in the Jewish community as the co-founder of Jewish Young Professionals and serves as a BBYO Naples Youth Advisor.
“I am so excited to join ZBT’s team,” Morris said. “I have fond memories of my Greek life experience in college and I look forward to working with the ZBT chapters to share all of the amazing things they are doing.”
Some of Morris’ duties at ZBT include writing external communication, managing the ZBT brand through all printed and electronic media, engaging brothers and partners through a variety of communication methods, maintaining the website, managing all social media outlets and establishing the marketing strategy for the Fraternity. Morris will be working remotely from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity was founded in 1898 in New York City as the world’s first Jewish fraternity, ZBT is a Brotherhood of Kappa Nu, Phi Alpha, Phi Sigma Delta, Phi Epsilon Pi and Zeta Beta Tau.
