ZBT Brand, Trademarks and Licensing
Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity places emphasis on upholding the tradition of our brand and insignia, as well as maintaining a high standard in our public presence. It is our right and responsibility to protect our name and the symbols that we have valued for almost 125 years. Therefore, Zeta Beta Tau registers its marks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and takes measures to ensure our marks are used appropriately in marketing and merchandising.
One important way in which all brothers can help in this effort is by helping respect and protect the letters, name, Crest and Pin. We monitor for uses of ZBT letters in products that attempt to glorify alcohol, hazing, racism, sexism or any other image or design that is offensive or hurtful to others.
ZBT reviews and approves all vendors and types of products sold with our name or letters, including to undergraduate chapters. Typically this process takes three to five business days as part of the order process.
About Greek Licensed Products
Zeta Beta Tau has aligned with dozens of other fraternities and sororities and works with Affinity Licensing, a company founded to help nonprofit organizations protect the integrity and ownership of their trademarks. Affinity works with Zeta Beta Tau in granting licenses to companies that manufacture merchandise bearing our name, letters, badge, crest and other marks.
The Greek Licensing Program also guarantees that the buyer will receive a quality product and customer service experience when using these vendors. Look for the logo to see if a retailer is vetted through the program.
Nearly 170 vendors are licensed to sell ZBT products through the Greek Licensing Program. To see a searchable list of vendors including national retailers and local, campus-based companies, click here.
