ZBT Charters the Alpha Eta Chapter at UC Berkeley
BERKELEY, California, December 11, 2024 – Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity is proud to announce the chartering of the Alpha Eta Chapter at University of California, Berkeley.
The Chartering Ceremony was Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Cal Chabad. Chartering Officer was international volunteer Jason J. Colombini, Eta Mu (California Polytechnic State University) 2014, and Master of Ceremonies was Fraternity Chief Experience Officer Ricky E. Kirby, Gamma Mu (University of Memphis) 2016.
Presiding Chapter President is Judah A. Feig, Alpha Eta 2026. Chartering Chairman is Operations Director Max Rodman, Alpha Eta 2026.
“I’m so glad that I could experience our chapter’s chartering at the tail end of my time as Operations Director,” Brother Rodman said. “Seeing the culmination of all our current chapter and alumni’s work was so rewarding, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. The environment at the ceremony, having brothers, alumni and national representatives all in one place was incredible.”

Several proud alumni and guests were in attendance. Additional alumni who could not attend in person recorded videos to share, including Daniel H. Frankenstein, Alpha Eta 2004, and Michael P. Epstein, Alpha Eta 1965.
The event was hosted at the Rohr Chabad Jewish Student Center with Rabbi Gil Leeds offering the invocation. Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life Jeff Woods also was in attendance.
The Chapter has the third highest GPA on campus, with a 3.7. Alpha Eta raised $1,500 for philanthropy last year and has more than 40 brothers.
