ZBT Charters the Zeta Alpha Chapter at Florida State
All brothers in attendance with the Zeta Alpha Charter.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., April 24 — Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity is proud to announce the chartering of the Zeta Alpha Chapter at Florida State University.
The Chartering Ceremony was April 18 on campus. Chartering Officer was Supreme Councilor Fred E. Levinson, Alpha Omega (University of Miami) 1986, and Master of Ceremonies was Fraternity Chief Experience Officer Ricky E. Kirby, Ph.D, Gamma Mu (University of Memphis) 2016. Presiding Chapter President was Tyson Tagmyer, 2027.

“This Charter is a product of our Brotherhood, built together, earned together,” Brother Tagmyer said. “The Alpha Class started it, and every brother since has carried it forward. Proud to have led during this moment, but this is about all of us. And it’s only the beginning.”

Patricio Cruz, 2027, served as the Chartering Chair who assisted in scheduling the ceremony.
“Planning this event has truly been a privilege,” Brother Cruz said. “I think I can speak for all of us when I say we’re feeling an overwhelming sense of pride seeing the results of the hard work put in by every class. This moment is something much bigger than any one person.”

“This Chapter has given me more that I can ever give to it,” said Braydon Repsold, 2026, past Chapter President.
Zeta Alpha is thriving. Brothers raised more than $4,000 in one week during ZBTahiti Sweetheart competition recently, and earlier this year raised $5,000 for Children’s Miracle Network via Dance Marathon. The Chapter’s combined philanthropy total is over $10,000 so far this year. Brother Garrett Lyon, 2026, has the highest GPA in the Interfraternity Council community. The Chapter has more than 40 brothers.
