ZBT hires Kirby as Chief Experience Officer
CARMEL, Indiana — Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity is pleased to welcome Ricky E. Kirby, Gamma Mu (University of Memphis) 2016, into the new role of Chief Experience Officer at ZBT International Headquarters.
“As a volunteer, Ricky has excelled in mentoring undergraduate brothers and supporting his peers and fellow alumni. In his professional career, Ricky has established he can build strong campus partnerships and create safe spaces for students. The Fraternity now will have his brand of motivational leadership and brotherhood accountability on our team full time,” said Chief Executive Officer Libby Anderson, CAE. “We are thrilled to welcome Ricky to this position of leadership.”
This newly created role, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) is charged to facilitate the complete Brotherhood for a Lifetime experience, from a ZBT’s recruitment until he enters the Chapter Eternal. The CXO will elevate ZBT, taking the Fraternity to the next level, improving chapter operations and streamlining policies, while furthering ZBT’s Mission and Values. The CXO oversees the areas of Undergraduate Experience, Organizational Growth, Alumni Experience and Heritage Education.

From forging leaders, providing networking opportunities, strengthening philanthropic efforts and growing our tireless efforts to combat antisemitism, our brothers and organization are truly making a strong impact on the world,” Brother Kirby said. “I am ecstatic to join the ZBT International Headquarters staff team and support efforts to create a Brotherhood for a Lifetime experience that will enhance the lives of all undergraduate and alumni brothers.”
As an undergraduate brother at the University of Memphis, Ricky was Chapter President of the 2014 reigning Brummer Cup champion Gamma Mu Chapter in 2015 as well as Student Government Association President. Since his graduation, he has served as a dedicated volunteer to the Fraternity in multiple capacities.
He earned a master’s degree from the University of Georgia in higher education administration and had several jobs on campus at UGA. Since earning his master’s, Brother Kirby has worked at several universities in leadership roles within areas such as student affairs, residence life and Fraternity and Sorority Life. Most recently, for ZBT, he has served as Chapter Advisor to Gamma Mu, a role that allowed him to serve as a liaison to the Supreme Council. As he joins the ZBT team, Ricky will continue to be based in Memphis while he completes his work on a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from UGA.
In his free time, Brother Kirby enjoys traveling, hiking and cheering for the Memphis Grizzlies and University of Georgia Bulldogs.
